RYAN GEORGEMy first memory of performing was in Peter Pan, I played the role of a lost boy. Ever since, the stage has been my second home. When I was 6, I picked up my first guitar. I performed 'Wild Thing' by The Troggs on stage by the time I turned 7. After my bachelor's degree I want to become a teacher. I want to become a teacher, so I can teach the future generations of musicians; so they can perform like I did and gain the confidence like I did from a young age. I have been teaching myself various instruments for the past 14 years. I have gone on to perform at festivals and headlining gigs in my local area.
I am in a very active band, named Carnival City, and are due to release our debut album within the next few months. In this band, I am a co-lyricist and write the majority of the music for our songs, along with playing guitar, bass and sometimes drums. In the past year, we have been able to write and perform over 50 songs and we hope to continue writing and recording these songs for future release. For my own music, Carnival City are hoping to release our debut album before May and No Sparks are hoping to release their debut single soon. I am also hoping to get session musician work as a guitarist/bassist. I have a varied music taste. Having parents born in the sixties, I have been brought up with a bit of everything: The Who, Sex Pistols, Gary Numan, The Prodigy, S Club 7. This has contributed massively to my music style and personality, not to mention the mess of my Spotify playlists. |
